Banana Bread

Ingredients

An easy one bowl recipe that will satisfy that sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ c. butter

  • 1 c. sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 3 c. flour

  • 1 tsp. baking soda

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ½ c. buttermilk (add 1 1/2tsp. white vinegar to milk if you do not have buttermilk)

  • 3 large ripe bananas - mashed

Directions

Cut the oven on 325°f. While the oven is pre-heating, place all of the listed ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Pour batter into 2 greased loaf pans or one bunt pan. Time will vary, depending on the pan used and oven. Bake for 50- 80 mins. Once the toothpick comes out relatively clean, let rest for 15 mins before flipping out onto a rack to cool.

*I like for my toothpick to have some crumbs still on it, but not wet batter. Remember that you can always add more time to a bake, but you cannot take it away. I’d much rather have to cook for a few more minutes than it be dry.
